The Republic of Panama is also known as land of “adventures” because its environments' diversity allows the practice of all kind of sports, since a simple walk until extreme sports like the kayak's ride throughout the fast current of the rivers near the Panama Canal.

The practitioners of extreme sports have identified the following beaches as the best ones for running waves: on the Pacific side they selected Playa Punta Brava, Cambutal, Raya, Guanico, Desfiladero, Madroño, Rio Mar, Las Lajas, the ones from the Isla de Coiba, Isla Cebaco, El Palmar, Teta, Serea, Malibu and Jaque; meanwhile on the Caribbean side they mention Isla Grande, Maria Chiquita and Playa Palenque on the Province of Colon, on the same way Playa Buff, Dumpey and Punch at Bocas del Toro where there is a great amount of tourists.
